Recovery Beginnings helps women go from active addiction to active recovery through a holistic, faith & evidence-based approach to recovery.
​Recovery Living helps women maintain active long-term recovery through a holistic, faith & evidence based approach to gain independence, employment, and housing solutions.
Recovery Connections redeems the stories of family and friends who have loved ones lost in addiction, finding healing in relationships and renewal of the mind, body, and spirit.

  • The average waiting list for a treatment bed in Dayton is 30 days.
  • Ohio had the highest number of drug overdose deaths of any city in the United States in 2015 (WHIO)
  • In 2017, there were 70,237 drug overdose deaths in the United States (CDC)
  • In 2017, morgues around Ohio were having to use cold storage trailers to store bodies due to the massive amount of overdose fatalities overwhelming local coroners’ offices statewide (The Washington Post)
  • If a woman gets help on day one of reaching out, she is 85% more likely to follow through with her recovery journey.
  • 70% of women who have entered the Recovery Beginnings have successfully graduated into a long-term treatment program.

Every Thursday from 12:00-1:00pm for Group Meetings
Every Thursday from 1:30-4:00pm for Drop-in Sessions​

Her Story works with law enforcement, social services, churches, and other mental health & recovery programs to provide the best care to our residents.                 

ACCELERATION

Her Story’s focus is on getting our residents connected to the best treatment program that best meets their needs as quickly as possible. The average stay at the Her Story House is 45 days.

FOLLOW-UP

Our clinical director and social worker are committed to staying in contact with residents after they leave the Her Story House to ensure they are set up for success after treatment.

Her Story is planting the seed of recovery. We give hope to homeless women battling drug and alcohol addiction by providing temporary housing and promoting treatment options that will meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. ​
